David Brooks is handed his first Premier League start of the season as AFC Bournemouth head coach Gary O’Neil makes five changes for the visit of Manchester United.
Playmaker Brooks has made four substitute appearances in the top flight since returning in March from a long-term illness and injury layoff.
The 25-year-old Wales international’s last start came in the Championship against Peterborough in September 2021, while his last start in the Premier League came at Everton in July 2020.
Brooks, who came off the bench against Crystal Palace last week, is one of five changes to the Cherries starting line-up from the defeat at Selhurst Park.
Marcos Senesi, Adam Smith, Jaidon Anthony and Lewis Cook, who were among the substitutes against Palace, join Brooks in the starting line-up.
Chris Mepham, Matías Viña and Dango Ouattara drop to the bench, while Joe Rothwell and Phil Billing are both ruled out due to injury.
Development squad midfielder Dominic Sadi and under-18s' striker Daniel Adu-Adjei (both pictured above) are also named among the Cherries substitutes.
Champions League-chasing Manchester United are without the services of leading goalscorer Marcus Rashford who reported ill yesterday.
