Michael joined the Cherries as Men’s First Team Physiotherapist in July 2023. 

Michael’s previous football experience included 20 years with Newcastle United where he progressed from an Academy physiotherapist to the Head Therapist of the first team.

In 2020, he joined Indian Super League team SC East Bengal in 2020 as Head Physio and was subsequently Head Physio at Hartlepool United. More recently Michael held the position of Head Therapist for Cirque du Soleil where he toured Mexico and North America. 

Michael gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Teesside in 2001 and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Injury Management from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006. Additionally, he has held an Associate Lecturer role at the University of Northumbria.
