Gemma Hillier initially joined AFC Bournemouth in 2020, before re-signing in the summer of 2023 after a two-year teaching post in Dubai.
She possesses a wealth of experience in the game, spending 17 years at home-town club Portsmouth, making a total of 293 appearances and scoring 99 goals in a spell that also saw her win the National League South.
Having spent eight years as captain, she was then the first female to be inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame and is a well-known name around Fratton Park.
Hillier's first spell in red and black was disrupted due to Covid, before she moved to Dubai to take up a teaching post, continuing to play football for Onyx FC, the first all-female football club in the UAE.
Having returned to England, she's back with Steve Cuss' side and was named as captain ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Away from the grass, Hillier has represented Team GB in beach soccer at the World Beach Games, plus pulled on an England jersey for the sport's European Championships.
