Under-18s return to action with Cambridge test

Dan Carroll’s under-18s return to action at midday on Saturday with the visit of Cambridge United to Canford Park Arena.

Last time out the young Cherries went down 3-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon at the beginning of the month.

Without a fixture last weekend, the side faces its next clash in Merit League One again on home soil.

Carroll’s team come into the game having played two league fixtures, losing out against the Dons having beaten Swindon Town 4-2 in the opening fixture.

The Yellows, meanwhile, have drawn one and lost one of their opening two encounters in Merit League One.

Last time the two sides met a 1-1 draw was played out at Canford in April 2022.

Daniel Adu-Adjei found the back of the net for the Cherries on the day before a late Cambridge strike saw the spoils shared.

Kick-off against United at Canford Park Arena on Saturday is scheduled for 12pm.
