Under-18 manager James Lowy believes there is a “good opportunity” for his side to bounce back when they host Bristol City in the Professional Development League on Saturday (11am kick-off).

Beaten 6-3 at Colchester in midweek, the Cherries sit fifth in the standings ahead of the clash against the Robins.

Looking back on Tuesday’s reverse, the manager told afcb.co.uk: “It was more good exposure for the young boys. Probably, on reflection, we went away from what we stand for as a group of players and in the second half.”

He added: “But it’s another good opportunity to turn it around very quickly going into the Bristol City game this weekend.

“The finishing line of the end of the season is near with two games to go after that as well.

“There are still lots of minutes for the boys from now until the end of the season to set us up for next season.”

Bristol City are top of the south group in the division, with 59 points from 28 games played.
