Voting for the Michael Matthews Player of the Month award for August is now open.

Supporters can have their say on the Cherries’ standout player during a successful first month of the new season.

Eddie Howe’s side remained unbeaten throughout the course of the month, securing victories against Cardiff City, West Ham United and MK Dons, whilst also fighting back to draw against Everton.

Ryan Fraser, who featured in all four games, scoring against Cardiff City and MK Dons, is nominated for the award.

Steve Cook and David Brooks, who also played a part in all of the Cherries’ game during the month, are also in contention to win the award.

The final nominee is striker Callum Wilson, who netted back-to-back Premier League goals against Cardiff City and West Ham United.

To have your say on which player claims the first Michael Matthews Player of the Month award for the new season head to the club’s official Twitter page, @afcbournemouth.

The winner of the award will be announced ahead of the weekend’s visit to Chelsea.
