With previous opening day wins over Aston Villa, Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town, the Cherries certainly have some fond memories at the start of the season and it's always one of the most eagerly anticipated games.
Thursday's release revealed that this year would see Gary O'Neil's side kick-off at home to West Ham, while the campaign would be concluded at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge in May.
