AFC Bournemouth girls have picked up silverware in the Hampshire Cup across three age groups.

The under-10 girls were first to be crowned Hampshire champions following their win over Winchester Flyers. Goals from Sophia, Marnie, Lily and Pola all helped to secure the victory for the youngest Cherries age group.

The under-12 girls also competed in the Hampshire Cup final, with their game against City Ladies going to penalties after the final whistle was blown at 2-2.

Whilst it was Millie and Savannah who scored during the game, Ava, Beth and Laila would net their penalties, along with goalkeeper Maria making two brilliant saves to ensure their 3-2 shoot-out victory.

The final trophy was picked up by the under-14 girls, who overcame Mudeford Girls at Alton FC last weekend. Krystal, Amelia, Ruby, Clodagh and Lucy were all on target for the Cherries to help secure the win.

Speaking about the Hampshire Cup successes, Head of Community Steve Cuss told afcb.co.uk: “The girls academy have enjoyed good success on the pitch, alongside their individual continued development.”

“Congratulations to all the teams on their cup final success.”
