Four internationals in action on Saturday

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Four AFC Bournemouth players were in action on Saturday as international football got into full swing. 

Illia Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez, Antoine Semenyo and Hamed Traore all featured for the countries, while Dango Ouattara was also in action on Friday. 

Here's a look at how each player got on with their country: 

Illia Zabarnyi 

The centre-back played all 90 minutes as Ukraine were 2-0 winners over North Macedonia in their Euro 2024 qualifier.  

Heorhiy Sudakov and Oleksandr Karaveyev both got on the scoresheet in match round seven, as the side look to move closer to a spot at next summer's competition. 

They currently sit third in Group C but move level on points with Italy in second. England remain top and are three points clear. 

Milos Kerkez 

Kerkez was another player to feature for all 90 minutes as his Hungary side were 2-1 winners over Serbia. The defdender, who is half-Hungarian and half-Serbian, played as left wing-back for the duration of the qualifier. 

Goals for Barnabas Varga and Rolland Sallai cancelled out Strahinja Pavlović strike as the hosts went on to claim all three points despite a late red card for Zsolt Kalmar. 

Hungary sit top of their European qualifying group, three points ahead of opponents Serbia and with a game in hand. 

Antoine Semenyo 

The forward played 64 minutes for the Black Stars, who lost 2-0 to Mexico in an international friendly. 

Hirving Lozano and Uriel Antuna were on target the victors, as Ghana continue their preparation for January's Africa Cup of Nations. 

Hamed Traore 

Traore came on after 78 minutes as the Ivory Coast drew 1-1 with Morocco, again in a friendly. 

Sebastien Haller got the goal for the Elephants, before Ayoub Al Kaabi grabbed a late leveller for the visitors. They next face South Africa at home on Tuesday. 

Dango Ouattara 

Elsewhere, Ouattara was the only Cherries player in action on Friday evening as his Burkina Faso side played out a goalless draw with Equatoral Guinea. They're next fixture sees them play a friendly with Mauritania on Tuesday.
