After starting the Under-20s World Cup in Poland with a win, Nnamdi Ofoborh's Nigeria lost their second game 2-0 to the USA.
Midfielder Ofoborh was an unused substitute in front of over 3,400 supporters in Bielsko-Biala as a double scored either side of the break by Hannover striker Sebastian Soto won the group game for the USA.
The defeat came after the Flying Eagles won their opener 4-0 against Qatar, the side still well placed to qualify, joint on three points with the USA and second in Group D. The top two teams qualifying from each group.

Already-qualified Ukraine top the group and will be Nigeria's final opponents when they go head-to-head on Thursday the final group game having a 7:30pm (UK time) kick-off.
