AFC Bournemouth's under-21s were defeated by a strong Pompey side at Canford Arena yesterday afternoon.
Reeco Hackett-Fairchild scored the only goal of the game against Shaun Cooper's side, who had a mix of under-21s and under-18s featuring.
The former defender spoke of the positives after the match, with his squad taking on more senior opposition next in the form of Poole Town, who host the Cherries on Saturday.
