AFC Bournemouth booked their place in the last 16 of the Premier League Cup with a dramatic 3-2 win over neighbours Southampton tonight.
The visitors twice took the lead at Vitality Stadium, only for Shaun Cooper’s under-21s to stage a stirring second-half comeback.
Kornelius Hansen drew first blood for Saints in the 38th minute before man of the match Jordan Zemura levelled with his first goal of the season on the hour.
And although Pascal Kpohomouh restored the visitors’ lead on 74 minutes, Jordon Ibe made it 2-2 five minutes from time.
Sam Surridge had the final say when he fired home from the edge of the box two minutes into stoppage-time to ensure the Cherries would top Group E.
