AFC Bournemouth
Last weekend, AFC Bournemouth was proud to unite with the whole of football in England to promote the FA and NSPCC’s Play Safe campaign.
Taking place throughout the matchday against Brentford, the club showed its support towards the scheme which is centred around safeguarding in our game.
Ahead of the game, a video of our staff and players supporting Play Safe, as well as specific imagery, were shown across our social media channels, before being utilised again on the big screens at Vitality Stadium throughout the day.
Community activity subsequently took place on the 3G pitches outside the ground ahead of kick-off, where Steve Cuss and his staff were helping to educate youngsters on the importance of playing safe.
Flagbearers were also holding special flags to welcome the players on to the pitch before the match got underway, while shields were dotted around the ground for supporters, staff to have a photo with and help raise awareness of the campaign.
Following the game, the shields were distributed to the club’s academy and community for the remainder of the weekend, with the campaign being supported throughout Sunday’s fixtures for the younger age groups and women’s team.
