AFC Bournemouth's Community Sports Trust were delighted to welcome the under-16s from Northerners AC to Bournemouth last weekend.

As part of the ongoing partnership between the two clubs, teams visit Bournemouth from Guernsey throughout the year, while Community Sports Trust coaches also head to the Channel Islands to deliver sessions throughout the school holidays.

The team travelled to Bournemouth on Friday, where they kicked off their stay with a coaching session at Ringwood Community Hub, before a game on Saturday against players from the Premier League Kicks initiative.

The friendly fixture ended 3-1 to Northerners but was a fantastic experience for all the players involved.

Saturday ended with the team visiting Vitality Stadium to watch AFC Bournemouth play Manchester City in the Premier League.

To end their stay in Bournemouth, the team visited Vitality Stadium on Sunday morning for an exclusive behind the scenes look at the home and away dressing rooms, media suites and technical areas.

Head of Community Steve Cuss spoke to afcb.co.uk following the visit: “We were delighted to continue our partnership with Northerners AC, welcoming the under-16 team, who I hope enjoyed their weekend of football in Bournemouth.”
