Over 100 attend The Net’s Christmas Lunch

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth were delighted to host the annual business club Christmas Lunch at Vitality Stadium.

With over 100 attendees in the Top Floor Restaurant, guests were welcomed with a festive drink and canapes, before sitting down for a traditional festive dinner.

The event was hosted by Paul Kinvig, who stepped in as quiz master this year, while Hampshire-based singer Emma Hardy provided entertainment throughout the afternoon.

There was plenty of entertainment as guests were tasked with wearing their Christmas jumpers! Those in attendance picked their favourite by giving the loudest cheer to the individual who was sporting the best outfit and a prize was subsequently given out.

In addition, there was a question-and-answer session with Commercial Director, Rob Mitchell, and Vice President of Global Partnership Activation, James Derella, who both spoke on the future of the club and exciting new developments such as the new training ground.

Partner of The Net and charity partner of AFC Bournemouth , Stormbreak, were also on site as they spoke to the crowd about their work and how the inclusion of football can help improve children’s mental health.

Following the event, Mitchell shared his delight at its success with afcbTV: “I really enjoyed it.

“It’s 14 years of our business club this week, so I’m delighted to have 100 local businesses here to celebrate Christmas with us. The work we do in the local community is so important to the football club, so I’d just like to say thank you to everyone here today and everyone that’s been involved over the years.

“It’s a really social environment today. It allows people to meet each other and network, so they can have hopefully business connections for the future. It’s great to be at the heart of that here at Vitality Stadium.”

AFC Bournemouth would like to extend its thanks to the business club partners: Bournemouth Town Centre BID, Dorset Chamber, ESET, Hill Osborne, Goadsby, IFX Payments, Stormbreak, Strategic Solutions, Tru Talent and Village Hotels.
