George wins special MSP Capital competition

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

We were delighted to recently welcome the winner of our ‘A Letter to AFC Bournemouth’ competition to Vitality Stadium.

Fully supported by MSP Capital, the club’s Official Training Wear Sponsor, our Junior Cherries were invited to send in letters ahead of the Premier League season.

Our young supporters were tasked with writing about why they loved AFC Bournemouth and six-year-old George was selected as the winner.

He was given a tour around Vitality Stadium and won some Cherries training wear, as well as getting the chance to meet his favourite player!

Having listed Dominic Solanke in his letter to the club, the striker surprised George while looking around Vitality Stadium.

The two then completed the tour together, with Solanke saying afterwards: “I’m just happy that I could surprise him.

“I don’t think he knew that I was coming so for me to come and shock him like that probably made it a bit better for him.

“Obviously, he was a bit shy, which is normal, but it was so nice. Even for me when I was younger and I was looking up at players, it used to be something that I loved.

“To be in that position and for me to be the one that’s loved now and see the smiles on young faces is humbling.”

He added: “MSP Capital have done an amazing job working with the club to give this opportunity to the young kids.

“You see how much it meant to George, so I was just happy to be able to go and see him.”

Thank you to all of our Junior Cherries that took part in the competition and to MSP Capital for their support.
