Toure Williams' goal against Swindon Town has won the club's Goal of the Month award.

Scoring in the title decider at Canford Park Arena, the holding midfielder picked up the ball in the middle of the park and went round two defenders as well as the 'keeper to finish coolly into the net.

It was the side's second goal of the afternoon as they went on to lift the Youth Alliance League trophy after the game, following a 3-1 win.

Williams, who scored his only goal of the league campaign against the Robins, beat off competition on Twitter from Jefferson Lerma, Lucy Cooper and teammate Daniel Adu-Adjei.

Speaking with afcb.co.uk after picking up the award from Strategic Solutions, the 17-year-old shared his excitement at winning.

"I'm very happy to pick the award up. It's my only goal, so to win Goal of the Month is great. I kept looking at Twitter and kept checking the poll, but all the other strikes were quite good as well.

"I was refreshing the poll the whole time and my mum was trying to get everyone to vote, they were really spurring me on to win it."

AFC Bournemouth would like to extend its thanks to Strategic Solutions for their continued support of the competition.
