Jefferson Lerma headed home a brilliant first international as Colombia maintained their unbeaten start to World Cup qualification.

Starting in the 2-2 draw away to Chile, the Cherries midfielder burst forward seven minutes in to meet a deep cross and head home his first goal for Colombia to go along with his 21 caps.

On home turf in Santiago, the Chileans soon burst back with familiar names Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez turning the tide in their side's favour before half time.

Stepping off the bench, Radamel Falcao had the final word, however. The Galatasaray striker extending his record as his nation's highest scorer with a 90th-minute clip over the 'keeper to ensure a share of the spoils.

After two games of qualification, Colombia have four points to their name, behind only Brazil and Argentina in the early South American running.

At Molineux, Sam Surridge was an unused substitute as England under-21s beat Turkey 2-1 to secure their spot at next year's European Championships.

Former Cherries 'keeper Aaron Ramsdale saved a penalty in the game, while Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah scored a record 14th goal for the side late in the encounter.
