Since our takeover by chairman Bill Foley, in a partnership including Hollywood actor Michael B. Jordan, the club has seen significant investment committed towards sustaining Premier League status, highlighted by the construction of a state-of-the-art training facility and the arrival of promising young talent from top clubs around Europe. These developments also bring a great opportunity to further improve our women’s team and youth setup overall.

Key off-field appointments have recently been made in business operations, ticketing, and partnerships to continue our efforts in improving the experience for our supporters.

Main Duties

  • Generate engaging and innovative video content, aligned with overall club objectives.
  • Attend and cover academy and women’s fixtures, both home and away, and, where required, assist with covering the men’s first team.
  • Film and edit pre-game arrivals, pre- and post-match interviews, highlights packages and other content for academy and women’s fixtures.
  • Film and edit community, commercial and marketing content for the club as needed.
  • Assist senior members of staff with significant club events such as kit launches, new player signings and manager appointments.
  • Work with key club stakeholders to deliver content for projects covering the football club and Community Sports Trust.
  • Working to a high standard while continuously being willing to learn and develop new techniques.
  • Be an ambassador of the club, always portraying a professional image to the public.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key football personnel across the business.
  • To follow and actively promote the club’s mental health policies and practices to ensure an open, non-judgmental and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.
  • To ensure that you adhere to the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for all those who interact with the club.
  • Obligation to adhere to the club’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • To ensure in all matters you follow and actively promote the club’s equality policies and practices to ensure a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.

Key competencies

  • A Full UK Driving Licence.
  • An understanding of a variety of cameras, including but not limited to mini-cams, DSLRs, XDCams, Full Frame and Super 35mm.
  • An ability to track, focus, zoom and adjust exposure of a fast moving live subject.
  • Comfortable using NLE Software and be willing to follow our style guide.
  • Experience of using the Adobe Creative suite.
  • A basic understanding of lighting techniques and colour temperatures.
  • A basic understanding of audio and how to produce good quality sound.
  • A willingness to learn filming, lighting and editing techniques.
  • The ability to think on your feet, problem solve and think of creative ways to overcome issues when filming or editing.
  • The ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
  • A willingness to contribute to the creative process in making sure the club’s video output celebrates its work across academy, women’s team, first team, commercial partnerships, community engagement and EDI strategy.
  • An ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of key personnel across the club – from players to administrative staff.
  • An ability to meet deadlines in a high pace, changeable environment.
