Simon Francis talks Premier League leadership and there are the first batch of 16 stickers for the official sticker album in MATCHDAY for the big match with Southampton.

The Cherries skipper sat down with MATCHDAY ahead of the visit of Saints and spoke about leading the side in the Premier League and pinching himself in captains meetings with John Terry.

Francis is also one of the stickers included in MATCHDAY as we launch our official sticker album for the 2018/19 season - with copies of the album FREE with the programme on Saturday.

Also in the 100-page edition for Southampton:

  • With the game falling six years to the day after Eddie Howe's first match back in charge of the Cherries, three home heroes from the afternoon relive the win over unbeaten Tranmere Rovers in 2012.
  • Danny Ings returns to Dean Court and academy manager Joe Roach talks through the striker's Cherries journey, initially not getting paid and the talks that took place to ensure the promising Ings was given his first professional deal.
  • The 16-page Extra Time pull-out is aimed at younger fans and has a fold-out poster of cover star Simon Francis as well as quizzes and a look at our rivals from along the coast.
  • A full introduction to Southampton, including player and manager profiles, a Saints fan choosing his most memorable game and a walk down memory lane as we pick out matches and moments that might make up a Southampton sticker album.

Plus plenty more from around the club, including news from the youth team, under-21s, the Women's team and a full history section, picking out more managers from Cherries past.

All available for £3.50 around Vitality Stadium before kick-off.
