Ibe gets a yellow...

The wingers brings down Fraser (Scott Fraser that is) and is shown a yellow.

In the meantime, Broadhead is off and Dyer is on for Burton.

81'

Harry Wilson tries from range...

The winger has a go from 25-yards out, but it narrowly skims the post.

73'

Goal for Burton...

A low cross comes in from the right and Broadhead taps it home at the back post.

70'

Good save from O'Hara...

Danjuma is racing through one-on-one, but O'Hara does superbly to get out and make the save.

67'

Added time!

The board has gone up and we've been told they'll be just the 28 minutes added on!

66'

Huge save from Travers!

Burton looked like they were through with their striker one-on-one, but Travers gets fingertips to the shot and diverts the danger.

65'

Great ball from Fraser...

The winger lifts one into the box and Callum Wilson almost gets on the end of it with his first touch.

Still in search for that leveller.

62'

A double change...

Callum Wilson and Danjuma are coming on, with Solanke and Francis off.

60'

It looks like we're trying again...

We think there's still half an hour to go, and the players are back out.

If it goes again, that'll surely be it abandoned?

Here we go...

75'

LIGHTS OUT

It's happened again...

74'

Good chance...

Ibe races down the right and puts a deep ball into the box. There is Lewis Cook at the back, who tries to hit it on the volley first time and it sails over.

69'

Here we go again...

We're actually in the 69th minute according to the clock, but there's been over 15 minutes of stoppages.

Play is back underway...

61'

We almost had it back...

The floodlights lasted all of two minutes. They came back and play continued, but now the lads are down the tunnel again and we're in the same position once again.

52'

Temporary pause!

Would you believe it, the floodlights have gone out!

Play has been paused and the players have gone down the tunnel. We'll hopefully be up and running again soon!

49'

Simpson in the book...

The defender is shown a yellow card for a foul on Boyce.

48'

Ibe drives forward...

Harry Wilson tries to link up with Ibe on the right, who has done well to carry it forward, but the return ball from the Welshman is just over-hit and goes out.

46'

We're back underway and have made a change...

Kilkenny is the man to be replaced and Harry Wilson is coming on.

45'+3'

Half time.

That's it for the first half.

Sarkic's goal is the difference.

45'

Good play on the left...

Kelly receives it off Fraser on the left and drives a low ball into the box, but it's hooked clear by Burton as three minutes of added time are shown on the board.

40'

Close!

Fraser plays a great one-two with Solanke and charges down on goal, but O'Hara in the Burton net makes himself big, shuts down the angle and saves well.
36'

Looking for that leveller...

28'

Free-kick for the Cherries...

Solanke is fouled on the right and Fraser is over it, but the eventual ball in evades everyone and goes out the other side.

23'

Ibe goes down...

Ibe dribbles with the ball from the centre of the pitch and works his way into the box. He looks to be brought down, but the referee quickly waves claims away.

17'

Good save from Travers...

Broadhead gets the ball in space on the edge of the area and drives a shot at goal, but there is Travers to divert over the crossbar.

15'

Goal for Burton...

A deep ball goes into the box and falls to Sarkic at the back post, who powers home to give the hosts the lead.

13'

Building momentum...

The Cherries win a corner but nothing much comes from it. It comes to the edge of the area and Francis has a go, but it sails over the bar.

8'

A quiet start...

The Cherries have seen a fair bit of the ball in the early stages but neither side has created too much going forward.

19:46

And we're off!

Jordon Ibe gets us started...

19:42

The teams are out...

We're moments from kick-off at the Pirelli Stadium!

19:41

Final thoughts from the boss...

19:27

Cherries in form...

AFC Bournemouth are looking for their third win in a row after victory against Everton and Southampton in the Premier League.

Burton's last league win came in August, having lost on the weekend against Tranmere and drawn with Portsmouth after being 2-0 up four days before.

They'll be looking for the spark to return at the Pirelli tonight.

19:18

Boys in the building...

We've arrived at the Pirelli Stadium. Kick-off is less than an hour away...

18:46

Team news!

Simon Francis will play his first competitive minutes since Boxing Day this evening, with Lloyd Kelly also featuring.

Lewis Cook partners Andrew Surman in the middle, while Dominic Solanke leads the line.

18:27

Up for the cup?

There’s plenty for Burton to be optimistic about ahead of tonight’s game. They had a superb run into the semi-finals last year, where they lost to eventual winners Manchester City over two legs.

On their way to the last four, they beat the likes of Aston Villa, Burnley and Nottingham Forest, before a 1-0 win away at Middlesbrough set up a tie with the Premier League champions.

As for Bournemouth, it’s been an enjoyable competition over the last two seasons, reaching the quarter-finals in 2017 and 2018. It was a trip to Stamford Bridge on both occasions, but that is where the run ended despite two close games with the Blues.

17:54

Last time out...

There were fond memories for the Cherries last time out at Burton Albion, the only other time we’ve played at the Pirelli Stadium.

Eddie Howe’s side won promotion out of League Two on that magical day in 2010, with Brett Pitman and current under-18s manager Alan Connell getting the goals that day.

Interestingly, the record looks good for the Cherries, who have never lost to Burton in four attempts. A 4-1 win in the FA Cup at Dean Court in 2014 was the last time the two sides faced off, with Ryan Fraser coincidentally scoring that day.

17:36

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to our live blog, where we’ll be bringing you every kick from tonight’s Carabao Cup third round tie against Burton Albion.

It’s a lovely evening here at the Pirelli Stadium, with blue skies above us, as Eddie Howe’s side bid to make the last 16 of the competition for the third year in a row.

The Cherries previously saw off League Two outfit Forest Green Rovers at Vitality Stadium, going through thanks to three big saves from Mark Travers in a penalty shootout.

As for Burton, they cruised through with a 4-0 win over Morecambe, Liam Boyce bagging a hat-trick that night, while Ryan Edwards also got on the scoresheet.

Stay tuned for all the updates tonight as, due to broadcasting rights, we will not be able to stream live commentary on afcbTV.
