Midfielder Lewis Brown has progressed through the AFC Bournemouth academy after joining the club’s under-sevens.
He is close friends with Toure Williams, the pair having signed for the club at the same age and been team-mates ever since.
From a footballing family, Brown’s father Phil manages Wessex Premier outfit Bournemouth Poppies having enjoyed great success at Bournemouth Manor.
Currently a first-year scholar, Lewis regularly played up an age group as he was climbing the ranks and says he has enjoyed every minute of his time at the club.
He has travelled extensively during his time with the club, playing two tournaments in Italy and three in Holland, featuring in a 5-4 win against PSV.
Predominantly a central midfielder, he can also operate at right-back, left-back and in central defence.
He has a cousin called Fletcher Brown, who is named after Cherries legend Steve.
Brown started all three games as the Cherries reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2021/22.
He won the Strategic Solutions goal-of-the-month award for January 2022.
His stunning lob from 30 yards in the FA Youth Cup defeat by Leicester City won the vote ahead of teammate Noa Boutin and Emi Marcondes who was nominated twice.
Ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, Brown was named captain of the under-18s by then-lead coach Alan Connell.
