AFC Bournemouth
For the first time, AFC Bournemouth Women will be taking part in a pre-season training camp.
Travelling to Milton Abbey School this weekend, the Women’s Development Squad will spend two days training at the institution’s impressive facilities, making use of the playing fields, gym and swimming pool during their stay.
The camp will help to prepare the young squad for their first season in the Southern Region Women’s Football League.
The following weekend, the first team will also be travelling away for a pre-season camp.
Visiting the Ashbury Hotel in Devon, the players will spend three days training at the sports facilities, before ending their trip with their first pre-season fixture against Torquay United Ladies FC.
Speaking ahead of the pre-season camps, first team manager, Steve Cuss, spoke with afcb.co.uk.
“The addition of pre-season training camps for the women’s team provides a fantastic opportunity to spend more time with the players on the coaching field, also allowing the girls to spend time together as we continue to work towards the opening game of the season.”
