AFC Bournemouth registered a resounding 7-0 win over Portishead Town on Sunday to complete the double over their National League counterparts.
A fast start from Steve Cuss’s team saw them race into a 2-0 lead after just seven minutes at The Everyone Active Stadium in Clevedon.
Molly Barron-Clark’s thunderous strike was followed by a second from Kenni Thompson, the pair both registering their fourth goals of the season.
Chloe Gilroy, who was on target in the Cherries’ 4-0 win over Posset at Vitality Stadium in November, took her personal tally for the season to seven to make it 3-0 to the visitors after 21 minutes.
The second half belonged to Erin Bloomfield who plundered a clinical four-timer, including a 19-minute hat-trick.
Bloomfield made it 11 goals for the Cherries this season, the pick of her quartet seeing her complete the scoring with an unstoppable drive in the final minute.
