AFC Bournemouth’s memorable run in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup came to an end after they were beaten 6-0 by Championship leaders Charlton Athletic on Sunday.
The Cherries had progressed to the third round for the first time in their history after seeing off St Austell, Bridgwater United and Swindon Town.
And Steve Cuss’s team matched high-flying Charlton for the opening 45 minutes before the visitors’ class told as they ran in six goals in the second half.
