The home side started the game very brightly and locked Sholing into their own half for long periods of the opening 20 minutes, but the Cherries were not able to convert any of their early chances, including a well-placed free kick from Aimee Collier.
The deadlock was broken in the 25th minute when in-form striker Helen Corbin applied the finishing touches to an excellent team move, which started with a throw deep in the Bournemouth half.
The goal opened the floodgates, as Corbin added three more in the half, and further goals from Rosie Nicklen and Ayuma Asira took the score-line to 6-0 at half time.
The hosts did not let up in the second half, and Corbin, searching for more goals, added three more to make her personal total seven, and extend the AFC Bournemouth lead to nine.
With control of the game, the Cherries continued to push for further goals, but were coupled with some wayward finishing and excellent saves from the Sholing ‘keeper.
They were unable to add further goals, until Beth Perdrisat smashed one into the bottom corner from 25 yards, with 60 minutes on the clock.
Asira was to add the final goal of the game, when she was sent in behind the Sholing back-line and calmly slotted past the goalkeeper to complete an 11-0 victory.
The win sees the Cherries retain their position at the top of the Hampshire County Women’s League Division One table, whist Helen Corbin moves to the top of the goalscorer list with an impressive 26 goals in 12 appearances.
