AFC Bournemouth
Alexis Bussell has re-signed for AFC Bournemouth Women’s team following a brief loan spell last season.
The forward previously linked up with Steve Cuss’ side, initially on loan from Yeovil Town Ladies, but the outbreak of Covid-19 prevented her from playing out the season.
Bussell previously spent five years with Mudeford Phoenix, before successfully trialling for the county and continuing her football with Dorset.
She was also asked to join the Corfe Mullen futsal team, who went on to win the national title in Birmingham.
Having signed for Poole Town Ladies in the summer of 2017, Bussell scored five goals in her first two games in women’s football.
Her performances caught the eye of Yeovil Town 12 months later, where she was predominantly playing in the academy before signing with the Cherries.
Following the Women’s team returning to training and Bussell joining in with her first session, manager Cuss shared his delight with afcb.co.uk.
"I’m thrilled to secure Alexis’ signature on a permanent basis," he began.
"Alexis has fitted well into the squad both in a previous loan spell and in training and we look forward to her progressing her career at AFC Bournemouth."
