Swansea game taken over by Junior Cherries

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Junior Cherries took over our final matchday of the season at Vitality Stadium last weekend.

Swansea were the visitors and Ryan Fraser’s first-half strike was enough to see Eddie Howe’s side come away with the three points.

But behind the scenes were a number of Junior Cherries, who were given a vast array of roles to ensure proceedings went smoothly.

The day before, a handful were invited to an exclusive press conference with chairman Jeff Mostyn, who answered their questions ahead of the Swansea fixture.

And during of Saturday’s game, more Junior Cherries were hard at work, with a mini photographer and two mini stadium announcers amongst the roles.

Following the full-time whistle, there were also six mini presenters, on hand to present Nathan Ake with his Junior Cherries’ Player of the Season award.

Throughout the afternoon, there was also ten mini reporters sat in the press seats to write up their review of the game, with the best three selected for display on the AFC Bournemouth website.

Some really impressive efforts made it tough to call, but Freddie Travers was selected as our winner, with Lexie Adlem and Aden Gooden coming second and third respectively.

And you can read their reports here:
