Cherries head coach Andoni Iraola sat down with the press ahead of taking on Nottingham Forest away from home.
Here are three things we learned…
1. Relieved following Tom Lockyer news
Shortly before Iraola sat down with the press, Luton Town released a statement revealing that Hatters skipper Tom Lockyer had been discharged from hospital.
Asked on the centre-back following the events of last Saturday at Vitality Stadium, the head coach aired his relief.
“We feel more relieved, now that we have good news about Tom,” he said.
“We hope the good news continues and he recovers well.”
2. Change in Forest manager makes for a difficult situation
This week has also seen Nottingham Forest replace Steve Cooper with former Wolves head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.
On that change, Iraola said: “It’s a difficult situation for us, training-wise.
“At the beginning of the week, we were preparing for Forest under Steve Cooper and now, we have to think in other situations that we really don’t know.
“They have a lot of players and Nuno has played with a lot of different systems, so we are trying to focus more on ourselves.
“We’re trying to improve the things that we have to improve and, obviously, that will require us to be very quick to react once we know their line-up and see the first minutes.
“We have to be ready for different scenarios – it’s not easy but it’s what we have to do.”
3. Been a good week for Alex Scott
Last Saturday saw summer signing Alex Scott return to the matchday squad following several weeks on the sidelines with an injury.
Despite not making it onto the pitch in the suspended clash with Luton, the Cherries head coach told the press that the midfielder had progressed well in training this week.
He said: “The other day was very difficult for him to play, but he is training and has a lot of good energy.
“His spirit is good for the team, and I like to have him involved.
“It has been another good week for him and I hope he get closer to have the rhythm of his teammates so he can help us in these games.”
