Team news: King could be in contention for Boro

Joshua King leans on the corner flag as a substitute.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is weighing up whether Joshua King could play against Middlesbrough.

The striker missed the victory over Stoke due to a sudden bout of illness, but Howe hinted he could be one of several changes made to the side.

"First things first we came through the game OK," he said.

"We've got Joshua King's illness and we'll wait and see on that, elsewhere Jermain Defoe's hamstring injury will keep him out of the game.

"There's obviously still Tyrone and Brad, the long-term injuries.

"We'll see how Joshua feels, it was quite sudden. We've had a few players out with bugs but they've usually returned quickly, so I anticipate it's nothing serious and he'll be OK.

"There will be different personnel, I believe in the squad. If you look at the bench on Saturday, there were plenty of regulars for us over the last few seasons, so I have no hesitations in changing the team.

"I trust the squad and last time we made changes we put in an excellent performance against Brighton."
