AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

We can confirm the four nominees for the Michael Matthews Player of the Month award for October.

Andoni Iraola's side earned their first Premier League win of the season against Burnley in October at Vitality Stadium.

Here are the four nominees...

PHILIP BILLING

The winner of October’s Strategic Solutions Goal of the Month award, Philip Billing made a big contribution throughout the month.

He was a stand-out in the win over Burnley, scoring a sensational winner from 42.2 yards, the longest-range goal in the Premier League this season.

ALEX SCOTT

The young midfielder has made an immediate impact upon returning from injury, impressing with his performances throughout October.

Even though it is early days in his Cherries career, Scott has impressed with his intelligent play, ability to run with the ball and his excellent passing range.

ANTOINE SEMENYO

The winger was superb in the win over Burnley, equalising for the Cherries with a fine solo effort.

The Ghanaian is so direct with his running and so effective when pressing and he’s making a real statement of why he should be in Andoni Iraola’s team.

DOMINIC SOLANKE

The forward has been so important to the Cherries this season and October was no different.

He scored a delicious back-heel flick in the defeat to Wolves and was an important part of the win over Burnley, despite not getting on the scoresheet.
