England Under-20s qualified for the quarter-finals of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup after a 2-1 win over Costa Rica.

Lewis Cook skippered the national side throughout the win at Jeonju World Cup Stadium - where two Ademola Lookman strikes confirmed the Three Lions' passage to the last eight.

Goals from the Everton attacker in either half saw England cruising into the quarter finals, though a late Randall Leal strike made for a nervy ending to the game.

Bournemouth midfielder Cook started the game having been rested for the final group game against hosts South Korea last week.

Next up, England will face either Senegal or Mexico in the last eight, with the game set to take place next Monday 5th June in Cheonan.

2-1 win over Costa Rica, though to the quarter finals! 🦁🦁🦁#U20WorldCup
