AFC Bournemouth ended their home Premier League fixtures for 2022/23 by entertaining 20-time English champions Manchester United on Saturday.
The Cherries were beaten 1-0 by the Red Devils with Brazil international Casemiro bagging the only goal of the game in the ninth minute.
United goalkeeper David de Gea made a number of important saves to help preserve their lead, thwarting the Cherries in their attempts to cancel out Casemiro’s goal.
The pick of de Gea’s saves saw him tip a blistering drive from David Brooks over the crossbar and keep out Kieffer Moore’s close-range effort, both in the second half.
Marcos Senesi almost grabbed a stunning late leveller, only to see his venomous strike narrowly clear the crossbar.
