Three goals in six second half minutes saw a dramatic end to the Cherries' latest pre-season friendly.
Efforts from Marc Gual and Juanpe were enough to give Girona a 2-1 victory, with Ryan Fraser netting a consolation for Eddie Howe's side.
After a goalless first period, Bournemouth were dealt a blow 20 minutes into the second half as defender Jack Simpson was shown a red card for a foul on Gual, who appeared to be through on goal.
It was the Sevilla loanee that then netted the opener after a mix-up in the Cherries defence.
Fraser soon got his side back on level terms, but it wasn't enough as centre-back Juanpe headed home a winner with two minutes to go.
