Cook gets England call

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Lewis Cook has been called up to the England senior squad for the upcoming international fixtures.

The Three Lions take on the Netherlands at Amsterdam ArenA on Friday 23rd March before welcoming Italy to Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 27th March.

It is the second occasion Cook has been called into Gareth Southgate’s squad, and the upcoming games could see Cook earn his first cap at senior level.

The game against the Netherlands could also see Cook in action against current club teammate Nathan Ake, who has also been named in the latest Dutch squad.

Should Cook feature in either of the two games, he would become the club’s first serving player to represent England at senior level.
