AFC Bournemouth are pleased to re-introduce the Fans’ Champion for the 2022/23 season.
Having paused matchday activities for the last two years, and with the Cherries sealing their return to the Premier League, the upcoming campaign is the perfect time to recognise our fans once again for their commitment to the club and work in the community.
Prior to each home game, a Fans' Champion will get the chance to walk out with the match ball in front of a filled up Vitality Stadium just 15 minutes before kick-off.
It was a scheme introduced at the start of the 2017/18 season and one which proved to be a continual success up until the Covid-19 pandemic hit in March 2020.
Previous Fans’ Champions included the voice of AFC Bournemouth John Garard, also known as Nonny, lifelong fan and 92-year-old Eddie Freak, and inspirational duo Dave Ellis and John Brewer.
We’re giving supporters the opportunity to nominate worthwhile AFC Bournemouth fans, of all ages, who might have been following the club for decades, overcome an illness or gone above and beyond in the community to help others.
If you would like to nominate someone to be a Fans’ Champion, please fill in our application form here. We’re after as much detail as possible, so please provide all the information you can on the individual you’re putting forward.
