AFC Bournemouth's development squad face their first home fixture of the new season when they take on Peterborough on Tuesday afternoon.

Alan Connell's side, who will play at Wimborne Town, kick-off at 1pm in their Professional Development League clash with Posh.

It was the perfect start for the Cherries last week, who won 2-0 away at Coventry thanks to goals from Michael Dacosta Gonzalez and Daniel Adu-Adjei.

Fans can watch the game at New Cuthbery for free, while there will also be live updates on @AFCB_Academy

Development squad manager Connell shared his excitement for the season as the club was granted Category 2 status earlier in the summer.

"We've only played one game so far, but we know already what a competitive league we're in. It's going to be a good season for the lads' development and I'm excited to see what we can achieve together.

"Last week's game against Coventry gave us the perfect start to our league campaign and hopefully we can back it up with another strong performance at home to Peterborough.

"It would be great to see as many fans down at Wimborne as possible. I know the boys would really appreciate their support in our first ever home league game."
