AFC Bournemouth defender Charlie Seaman has signed a loan deal with Vanarama National South outfit Maidstone United.

Seaman, who spent the first half of the season at Eastleigh, will remain at the Gallagher Stadium for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old attacking right-back could be in contention to make his debut when Maidstone visit Billericay Town today.

Seaman made 24 appearances during his four-month stay with Eastleigh, including 18 in the National League and six in the FA Cup.

He starred for the Spitfires as they reached the second round of the FA Cup, Eastleigh eventually going down against League Two Crewe Alexandra after a replay.

Seaman progressed through the academy ranks at West Ham before joining the Cherries in 2016 following his release by the Hammers.

He graduated from the under-18s to the under-21s, penning his first professional contract in 2018.

Seaman, who signed a new contract with the Cherries in July 2019, has also served Weymouth and Dundee United on loan, playing 12 times for the Scottish outfit in the Championship and Scottish Cup last season.
