AFC Bournemouth under-21s midfielder Kyle Taylor has signed a new contract with the club.

Taylor, 18, went on the first-team's pre-season trip to Marbella, playing in the team's win over Estoril.

The midfielder has also trained with the first-team this campaign along with playing with the under-21s, and made his professional debut against Wigan Athletic in the Emirates FA Cup.

Taylor's deal means he will stay at Vitality Stadium until June 2020, having first joined the club when he was eight-years-old.

He said: "It's been a long journey, I remember when we were in League Two when I signed.

"It's nice to sign and to spend more time with the club, I heard from my agent and spoke to the gaffer and people at the club, so it's safe to say I was delighted when I got the call.

"I've been here for ages now I want to be here for longer, I want to be in and round the first team, that's the ultimate goal - to be playing in the Premier League.

"I need to keep my head down, I need to stamp out the mistakes and inconsistency, but I'm working every day to improve and I'm really pleased."
