AFC Bournemouth's development squad are unbeaten in four and looking for their second Premier League Cup win of the season as they travel to play Wolves on Friday.

Ahead of the game, Michael Dacosta Gonzalez admitted how much he's looking forward to the challenge and hoping to help maintain his side's unbeaten start in the competition.

He began by discussing the mood in the camp after a good week of work down at Canford.

"Training this week has been good," he said.

"There's a really good spirit in and around the team, so we're all feeling confident going into the game against Wolves.

"Every time a game comes around, we're excited because we have another opportunity to show that we're getting better. That's a good thing for us.

"It's good to build momentum from the Charlton game where we won away from home in the same competition.

"Sometimes playing away from home can be really tough, but that day we made it easier for ourselves because of how hard we worked. We need to make sure we do that again."

Dacosta Gonzalez continued by discussing how much he's enjoying his football this season, re-linking up with his former youth team manager Alan Connell in the development squad.

"It's great for me that Al is my manager again as I had him in the under-18s.

"I feel like he understands me a lot, so I feel confident playing under him. He gives me the opportunity to showcase myself and I try to do that every game.

"Overall, we're on a really good programme, I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Hopefully we can end high up in the league and do really well in the Premier League Cup too."
