AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust were delighted to welcome pupils from St Mark’s School in Bournemouth to Vitality Stadium for a matchday event.

The year 3 and 4 pupils joined the Community Sports Trust at the stadium for a coaching session.

They also played a small-sided game against St Jude’s C of E Primary School from Portsmouth, with Pompey in the Community.

Following their time on the 3G pitches, the young people from both schools were invited into Vitality Stadium for the Premier League game against Sheffield United.

Speaking about the matchday experience for the young people, head of community Steve Cuss shared his thoughts with afcb.co.uk.

He said: “Through the Premier League Primary Stars project, we were delighted to be able to invite St Mark’s School and join together with Portsmouth in the Community to invite St Jude’s School, providing a memorable matchday experience for all the pupils.”
