AFC Bournemouth host Manchester United in the Premier League this evening and we are delighted to celebrate the work done by the Community Sports Trust, with a matchday take over.

For the second successive season, AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust will be celebrated during the match, which will see the Cherries squad warm up in Community Sports Trust branded t-shirts ahead of kick-off.

During the build up to the game, videos highlighting the work done by the Trust will be shown on the big screen, which includes partnership work with Kick it Out and also the Cherries Fit Challenge as shown on Match of the Day earlier this season.

AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust delivers over 120 sessions per week, working with on average 4000 individuals.

The projects delivered range from Premier League Primary Stars, the Premier League BT Disability programme, and also Minikickers and the Care South programme.

Individuals from these projects have been invited to Wednesday’s game where they will be our flagbearers, forming a guard of honour as the players walk out onto the pitch. The Fans' Champion has also been selected by the Community Sports Trust.

Ahead of the event, head of community Steve Cuss told afcb.co.uk: “We are very grateful the for the opportunity to showcase the work of the Community Sports Trust.

“We have continued to grow the projects for the local community and are pleased to be able to welcome some of the participants to the game to celebrate.”
