Cherries supporter Caroline was nominated by her husband Ashley and her son Alex, who wanted to reward her for being an incredible mum as well as her positive outlook on life.
She was invited to the women’s team game against Maidenhead United on Sunday, where she was given the chance to meet the team ahead of kick-off.
Having visited the changing room, Caroline was given a hamper of goodies by Maisy Smith as well as defenders Amber Treweek and Kelly Fripp.
The hamper also included a gift voucher, provided by official partners Umbro, while Caroline and her family cheered on the women’s team from the stands, proudly wearing their MSP Capital training tops.
The reward was part of a competition run by MSP Capital and AFC Bournemouth to celebrate Mother’s Day.
MSP Capital are partners of the women’s team as well as being the club’s official training wear sponsor.
Speaking about the surprise, Caroline commented: “It was a great family day out with some special memories made, which we will remember forever!
“We were spoilt all day long. Thank you MSP Capital and AFC Bournemouth!”
Rob Mitchell, commercial director at AFC Bournemouth, added: “We were delighted to join forces with MSP Capital to celebrate Caroline, who is an incredible woman.
“Mother figures, in whichever form they come, make a huge impact on the life of young people and the nomination from Alex and Ashley highlighted how remarkable Caroline is.
“We enjoyed hosting her at the women’s game and she had a great day, meeting all the players and receiving a hamper full of goodies.”
