Club Recipe: Oat, Banana and Chocolate Cookies

This recipe is perfect for Junior Cherries to enjoy and you don't even need many ingredients!

With half-term around the corner, why not give this one a go?! 

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 150g Scottish porridge oats
  • 100g milk chocolate chips

You will need a mixing bowl, fork, tablespoon and a large baking tray lined with baking paper. 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Turn the oven on gas 5, 190°C, fan 170°C. 
  2. Mash 2 large ripe bananas in a mixing bowl with a fork until fairly smooth. 
  3. Mix in 150g oats until well coated in banana. 
  4. Fold through 100g milk chocolate chips. 
  5. Use a tablespoon to scoop out 16 balls of dough. 
  6. Place each ball on the baking tray evenly & press down to shape the cookies. 
  7. Bake FOR 18 minutes or until slightly crisp & golden. They should be slightly soft & chewy in the middle. 
  8. Allow to cool before serving. The cookies will keep for two days in an air-tight container.
