AFC Bournemouth
This week's recipe for the AFC Bournemouth Hospitality and Events team is a delicious dish with an Asian twist.
Ingredients
Makes One Portion
- 60g Dried whole wheat noodles
- 100g Broccoli (remove stalk and cut into smaller pieces)
- 2 x tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 x Garlic clove (crushed)
- 2 x Pinch of chilli flakes
- 1 x Tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 x Tablespoon soy sauce
- ¼ Lime
- Salt and pepper
- ½ Red onion (thinly sliced)
Method
- Bring to the boil a pan of salted water and cook the noodles for four minutes
- Meanwhile, pan-fry the broccoli and red onion in a splash of sesame oil for two minutes
- Add the garlic and chilli flakes then fry for a further two minutes
- Add the golden syrup, soy sauce, one tablespoon of sesame oil, a squeeze of lime juice, a little cracked black pepper and a tablespoon of cooking water from the noodles then simmer for two minutes
- Drain the noodles and add them to the pan, then stir and serve
