Our latest club recipe is Christmas themed and you can give it a go by following the method below.
Our creamy bacon sprouts are perfect for the big day.
Ingredients
- 500g Brussels sprouts (trimmed)
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 100g smoked bacon lardons
- 75ml crème fraîche
- 10g Parmesan, grated
- Salt & pepper
Method
- Firstly heat a pan of water until boiling then turn down the heat slightly and simmer the sprouts for 7 mins or until tender.
- Once they are cooked, drain the spouts.
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat then add the bacon lardons and cook for 6 minutes or until crisp.
- Mix the crème fraîche and Parmesan together then add some salt and black pepper to season. Add the sprouts to the pan then pour in the crème fraîche.
- Stir continuously to heat through, add some more salt and pepper if preferred then serve!
The recipe serves four people.
