Following the completion of the club play-off event at Vitality Stadium, AFC Bournemouth will have two official club representatives at the upcoming FIFA 19 ePremier League final event.

Qualified players from both the PS4 and Xbox platforms headed to the Media Suite at Vitality Stadium for the special ePremier League club play-off on Wednesday evening.

Cherries first team duo Callum Wilson and Junior Stanislas kicked off the event with a one-off friendly fixture, before the competitive gaming began.

Throughout the evening a knockout-style competition pitted players from both consoles against one another, with two eventual winners crowned following dramatic finals.

Craig John-Clement was the winner of the PS4 tournament, whilst Marc Marley triumphed in the Xbox competition. Both players will now head to London on March 28th to compete in the ePremier League final, which will be televised live on Sky Sports.

“I’m really looking forward to the finals,” Craig said. “I wasn’t really that nervous during games, just focussed on my team and playing my own game.”

Marc added: “I flew down from Glasgow today and I’m absolutely buzzing to have won the play-off. I felt like I was played quite well during the games and I’m really happy to have qualified for the finals.”

To engage with the club’s supporters and local community, AFC Bournemouth are currently exploring the possibility of future eSports and gaming events.

Keep an eye out across the club’s media platforms for more information.
