Purpose of role
The role requires the person to transport Academy players and scholars on a day-to-day basis. These routes are usually from Vitality Stadium to Canford Park Arena.
Then from Vitality Stadium to alternating venues of other professional clubs on either a Saturday or Sunday.

Monday to Friday – Flexible, in line with the transport timetable

Saturday and Sunday – Flexible, in line with the games programme
Location
Various (Vitality Stadium to Canford Park Arena/3G (BH21 3AP/BH21 3AW). Weekends: Various, dependent on match location.
Salary
Weekday Driving – £10.00 per hour
Weekend Driving – £50.00 per day or £70.00 per day (distance away game)
Required qualifications
UK-valid driving licence (required) – incl. D1 Licence.
- Experience in driving 17-seater minibuses
- Experienced driving sports teams (desirable)
Role overview
It is vital that the role of Academy minibus driver includes a number of key areas and stipulations as set out below:
- Provide transport for Academy scholars and schoolboys daily from various locations from around the local area and specific venues in a safe and lawful manner, fully compliant with the Highway Code and other regulations applying to passenger and minibus transport
- Provide the main transport link between Vitality Stadium and Canford training grounds for our under-17 and under-18 scholars
- Daily and weekly vehicle checks to be undertaken prior to any journey. Any faults are to be reported in the first instance to the Academy
- To be available to transport Academy scholars to other venues as and when needed
- Be available to collect and return under-13 and under-16 players attending day release to and from the rail station to the main LeAF Academy and training venues
- Work closely with the admin support & welfare officer and head of education & player care with regard to any changes in weekly schedules
- Ensure the minibuses are cleaned by scholars and schoolboys after each journey.
- Ensure the relationship with children and vulnerable adults is appropriate and language, behaviour and demeanour is suitable
