Ryan Glover featured in Aldershot Town’s festive double-header as Mark Molesley’s team experienced a mix of emotions in the National League.

Glover was handed his ninth start as the Shots earned a share of the points from a dramatic 1-1 draw with local rivals Woking at the EBB Stadium on Boxing Day.

He was replaced by Ben Shroll in the 72nd minute and after the hosts had been reduced to ten men following the dismissal of defender Alfie Saunders early in the second half.

Corie Andrews’s penalty five minutes from time appeared to have won the day for the Shots, only for the Cards to level through Max Kretzschmar’s spot-kick deep into stoppage time.

Glover was named on the bench as boss Molesley made seven changes to his starting line-up for their visit to Dagenham & Redbridge on Bank Holiday Tuesday.

The Shots’ six-match unbeaten league run was ended by Angelo Balanta’s goal at the Chigwell Construction Stadium, the scene of Molesley’s dramatic late winner for Cherries in the Greatest Escape season of 2008/09.

Glover made his 12th appearance when he replaced former Cherries striker Mikael Ndjoli in the 57th minute and will be hoping for more game time when the Shots visit Woking on Sunday.
