AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Brennan Camp maintained his impressive start to his loan spell at Eastleigh by helping them to a convincing 4-1 win over National League rivals Wealdstone at the Silverlake Stadium.

Camp played a starring role at the back as former Cherries boss Lee Bradbury marked his first game in charge with a victory.

Danny Whitehall’s stunning free kick from 25 yards gave the Spitfires a tenth-minute lead before Camp went close to doubling their advantage when his cross hit the woodwork.

Although Ryan Hill made it 2-0 seven minutes into the second half, Charles Clayden halved the deficit just four minutes later.

But goals from Tom Broadbent and former Cherries captain Danny Hollands ensured Eastleigh would pick up their first win in 12 games in all competitions.

Defender Camp made his third appearance for the Spitfires having been named man of the match on his debut in a 1-1 draw with Southend United last month.

Ryan Glover twice went close to adding to his goal tally for Aldershot Town in their 2-0 defeat by leaders Stockport County in front of the BT Sport cameras at the EBB Stadium.

Glover’s first effort early in the second half was blocked by a Stockport defender before his second, a venomous half-volley, flew narrowly over the crossbar.

County extended their unbeaten league run to 13 games and moved five points clear at the summit thanks to first-half goals from Ollie Crankshaw and Will Collar.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Zeno Ibsen Rossi was an unused substitute in Dundee’s 1-1 draw against Motherwell at Fir Park.

Paul McMullan’s sixth-minute opener was cancelled out by Joe Efford’s first goal for Motherwell.

LEAGUE ONE

Christian Saydee went close to scoring his first goal for Burton Albion in their 4-1 defeat by Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

Saydee’s effort in added time at the end of the first half was blocked with Adlene Guedioura following up to net the Brewers’ consolation.

Earlier, two goals from Sam Baldock and one each from Gavin Whyte and Matty Taylor had left Jimmy Hasselbaink team’s with a mountain to climb.

Saydee, who was replaced by Oumar Niasse in the 62nd minute, made his ninth appearance having come off the bench late on in the midweek defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

Sam Sherring was forced to sit out Cambridge United’s 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury Town having been deemed to have suffered concussion during their midweek defeat at Wycombe Wanderers.

NATIONAL SOUTH

Luke Nippard played his part in helping Eastbourne Borough keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over St Albans City at Priory Lane.

Nippard was unfortunate not to provide an assist after teeing up Jack Currie, his low drive flashing past the post in the 17th minute.

Charley Kendall bagged the only goal three minutes into the second half as Nippard celebrated his 12th start for the Sports with a fifth victory and a fourth clean sheet with him in the team.

SOUTHERN PREMIER SOUTH

Owen Bevan and Matt Burgess helped Truro City edge a 2-1 win over a Wimborne Town team which included fellow Cherries loanees Tarik Gidaree and Aaron Roberts.

Harry Morgan drew first blood for the visitors at Bolitho Park before Wimborne were reduced to ten men following the dismissal of skipper Scott Arnold for a second yellow card.

Late goals from Zac Hartley and Rocky Neal saw the White Tigers turn the tide. Bevan, Gidaree and Roberts all started, while new Truro signing Burgess replaced Ryan Brett in the 61st minute.

Noa Boutin and Marcus Daws both featured in Poole Town’s 0-0 draw against Weston-super-Mare at the Optima Stadium.

Boutin started and was replaced by Daws midway through the second half, while Jack Seddon was an unused substitute.

Seddon and Boutin both started when the Dolphins won the Dorset Senior Cup thanks to a 2-1 extra-time victory over Hamworthy United on Tuesday.

Jack Wadham came off the bench in the second half of Dorchester Town’s 3-1 defeat by fellow strugglers Merthyr Town at the Avenue Stadium.

Wadham replaced Billy Lowes in the 57th minute and as the Magpies trailed 2-0 to goals from Curtis Jemmett-Hudson and Eliot Richards.

Kieran Evans extended the visitors’ advantage before Olaf Koszela bagged a consolation for the hosts.
